The Cargobox dimensions have been selected such that 6 units exactly fit on the most commonlyused standard PMC 125" X 96" air cargo pallet. The standard height of a fully expanded Cargobox is is 63 inches or 160 cm. These dimensions have been chosen taking the volume envelope of the most common wide body cargo bay into account. On an all-cargo plane, the main deck allowable loading height is 96 inches, which can be efficiently utilized with a half expanded Cargobox on top of a fully expanded one.Multi-Modality
Four units fit in the cross section of an average cargo truck. In addition, the Cargobox dimensions are very well suited for easy loading and unloading on high-speed Cargo Trains. These HS-Cargo Trains could occupy the infrastructure of the TGV rail system in the heart of Europe during the 23 – 07 hour night period. This could substantially contribute to reducing freight truck movements on congested highways in the center of Western Europe. Also, in the future Cargoboxes with other dimensions will be introduced.Specifications
